ROG.e 2026: CESAR brings applied knowledge to the oil and gas industry
The studies combine engineering, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, systems architecture, design, and cybersecurity, and are distributed across four knowledge domains:
CESAR is attending ROG.e 2026, from September 21 to 24, in Rio de Janeiro, with a booth in Hall 4, Area W80. This year, we are bringing 12 papers developed in projects with Petrobras to the technical conference—a snapshot of five years of applied experimentation targeting real industry challenges.

Domain 1
Digital twins for asset integrity management and operational continuity
Domain 2
Artificial intelligence and modeling for the optimization of critical engineering processes
Domain 3
Data and technical knowledge for digital products and traceable decisions
Domain 4
Human factors and communication for safety and performance in operations

Technology that addresses operational challenges
Among the highlights is a study on a platform for fatigue monitoring in rigid risers, which combines operational data and physical models to automate structural simulations. Another study applies digital twins to monitor fatigue and CO₂-induced stress corrosion cracking in flexible pipes, considering integration with legacy systems, heterogeneous data, and scalability.
Artificial intelligence is featured across multiple fronts: intelligent agents to assess complexity in well design, AI models for diesel hydrotreating, physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) to predict quality variables in refining, and LLMs applied to conversational search in industry data.

Beyond technology: people and processes
The research output also looks at challenges that go beyond technical data: inclusive visualization of geological data, deaf-centered design in industrial environments, and digital transformation in the reporting of safety incidents. Other papers investigate human-AI collaboration, digital product management, and the use of strategic design in climate decision support systems.
In the oil and gas industry, complex problems rarely belong to a single discipline: they involve data, engineering, software, processes, operational context, and people. That is why we operate in an integrated manner at CESAR.

CESAR at ROG.e 2026

On September 23, at 11:50 AM, Antoanne Pontes, business manager at CESAR, will participate in the session "The Industry's Role in Environmental, Social, and Energy Education," alongside representatives from Petrobras, Shell, and Baker Hughes in a debate on how to develop the talent the sector will need in light of ongoing technological transformations.

100 in 5: An Innovation Journey
A significant part of the production brought to ROG.e is born from a longer trajectory: the Petrobras Experimentation Program, which, over five years of partnership with CESAR, has already generated nearly 100 joint projects. This knowledge is not restricted to the teams involved; it is systematized and taken to new contexts within the CESAR ecosystem, paving the way for new challenges and applications.
